Photographs of acquaintances, with measures in centimeters of the distance that separates the subject from the photographer, are a reflection on the reality that surrounds us. Ho preso le distanze is a series of Polaroid images portraying Irene Fenara's family members, friends and acquaintances, each set in a pose and at a distance that corresponds to his or her relationship with the artist. This transforms her photographs into a tool for measuring interpersonal relationships, the physical spaces of which reflect emotional distance, offering a synthesis of the artist's complex relational universe.
Fotografie di conoscenti, con le misure in centimetri della distanza che separa il soggetto da chi lo fotografa, sono una riflessione sulla realtà che ci circonda.
Ho preso le distanze è una serie di Polaroid che ritrae familiari, amici e conoscenti di Irene Fenara, ciascuno messo in posa a una distanza corrispondente al proprio rapporto con l'artista. La fotografia si trasforma così in strumento di misurazione dei legami interpersonali in cui lo spazio fisico rifletto quello emotivo, offrendo una sintesi del complesso universo relazionale dell'autrice.
